How much does it cost to alter a wedding dress size?
A: Well, while it depends on the type and scope of work, in general, most alterations can range from 15% -25% of the cost of the dress
How far in advance should you get your wedding dress altered?
A: Assuming you have your dress, your First fitting is ideally several months before your wedding. Then, as we get close to the wedding date we schedule a final fitting. And, of course I am available for emergencies.
Is 6 weeks enough for wedding dress alterations?
A: Yes
How many times do you get your wedding dress altered?
A: At least two times as it depends on the amount of alterations and timing of your event.
Can a wedding dress be altered in 2 weeks?
A: Yes, and I can provide emergency services
What about my Bridal Party? Can you do groups?
A: Of course! I can take care of everyone at once (Women and Men). I love making the whole Bridal Party look and feel they compliment the Bride
Do you tip a seamstress?
A: Yes. Always at your discretion
Is 2 months enough time for wedding dress alterations?
A: Yes
Should I get my wedding dress cleaned before or after alterations?
A: After. Wedding dresses usually arrive clean from the store
Can a size 14 wedding dress be altered to a 10?
A: Yes.
How many sizes can you go down in wedding dress alterations?
A: In general, 3-4 sizes
Do you pay for alterations before or after?
A: Usually a deposit of ¼ to ½ up front and balance when done.
Can you help the Mother of the Bride?
A: Yes. I also provide referrals for custom dresses to help make mom feel extra special and proud.

A: In general it ranges from $50 to $150 depending on the work needed
What about my Groomsman? Can you do groups?
A: Of course! I can take care of everyone at once (Women and Men). I love making the whole Bridal Party look and feel they compliment the Bride and Groom
How many sizes can you go down in a Suit?
A: 2 sizes is ideal
Do you pay for alteration before or after?
A: All or ½ up front and balance after
Do you tip a seamstress?
A: Yes. At your discreation

A: Usually once.

A: Yes. I also can custom suits or suit referrals to help make Dad feel extra special and proud.

Yelena Blond did not speak much English when she moved to the United States from Ukraine in 1994, but as she mastered the English language, she had brought with her a unique skill that made her new U.S. friends take notice: Sewing with a personal touch. Yelena already had an eye for fashion, and as she developed and mastered her gift of sewing she was able to blend it warm personality her love of people; to make a difference for her customers special events.
Formal owner of Rydell’s Tailoring. Yelena has over 30 years of experience. She is a master at putting together the perfect look for her clients, but she also is an expert at making each one of her customers feel at home. She loves to encourage and talk to people, so when you visit Dollz Bridal Dress and Suit Alterations, you will come in a stranger, and leave as a well-dressed friend.
